On Great FORME with Webflow

Could WEBFLOW be the agile website building choice for your business?

Forme is a financial advisory service specifically designed for Physicians. Physicians are in the top 95% of income earners, yet the number two cause of burn out is financial stress. Forme believe that Physicians deserve a financial advisory that cares for them with the same passion they bring to caring for us.

The Forme team came to Everything Connected team with the challenge of creating a great looking marketing site to clearly and simply convey the Forme offer to their time poor audiences.

They had a focused brief of delivering the Forme services offer in a compelling and clear way and initiating conversations with their sales teams. No complex tech integrations or data transfers but they did need to work in an agile and collaborative design process and deliver a site quickly that they could later build on as the Forme offer and content developed.

Webflow Content Management System (CMS) was the obvious choice for a project of this nature. Webflow is based within the cloud and, like most other website builders, it allows users to build websites without having to write reams of code. But unlike other CMS including WordPress, the strength of Webflow really comes down to design process being so much closer to the build and how quickly you can start to experience the site.

The benefits of Webflow…

1. Close the gap between visual design mocks and the final website

Webflow’s live prototyping removes the guesswork and lets clients experience the design before signing off on it.

2. Faster iterations during the design review process

Prototyping with Webflow means you can make design and content changes in the same environment, and push them live with a click. Instead of sending clients static mockups, you can deliver a live staging site to review, make real-time changes, and complete the approval process in a fraction of the time.

3. Put creativity first

Imagine the web design process going from 10% design and 90% coding to 90% design and 10% coding. That is the big shift in the Webflow and cloud based approach. More of the time and budget is spent on the visual and creative aspects of websites. Prototyping and developing with Webflow gives designers direct access to the final product, shifting the current design-development paradigm.

4. Custom client-facing CMS

With Webflow CMS, you can choose exactly which elements the client can customise and modify, so they don’t need to be afraid of breaking anything. Webflow’s Editor gives your clients access to their content in a controlled environment so they can focus on building out their site’s content, without fear of bringing it all crashing down.

5. Build landing pages faster and more easily

Landing pages play a vital role in any marketing campaign, and Webflow is great tool for creating them. You can use the page generator and Webflow’s dynamics lists to create customisable, highly targeted landing pages for your campaigns.

6. Dramatically shorten development time

By dramatically reducing development times, condensing the project schedule, you free up budget for other important tasks like SEO, design, analytics set up, content upload and customisation.

Webflow is the right choice for Forme, but there is no such thing as the perfect CMS choice. Every brand and audience is different and businesses individual needs in their growth journey and digital maturity are always evolving. Here are a couple of considerations for where Webflow may not be the CMS choice for your business.

Watch out’s for Webflow

1. Not for beginners

The trade-off for having such a powerful and versatile tool is you really do need some technical knowledge to be able to master it. That’s what @everything connected are here for!

2. Complex pricing

With so many different plans and options, it can be hard to know what the right plan is for you. It can also get pricey if you need some of the more advanced features or enterprise level volumes of traffic

3. Limited built-in functions and integrations

Some features such as multilingual website and user logins, aren’t integrated yet.

4. Mobile app

No mobile app is available so it’s not possible to edit your site through a mobile device.

5. Ecommerce

Webflow offers an online store feature that’s directly integrated into its editor. You can determine some settings with the free version, however if you want to start selling, you’ll need to purchase one of their eCommerce plans. But if it’s pure ecommerce capability and efficiency you need, there are better choices.

Congratulations to the FORME and Everything-Connected teams and for successfully delivering their new Webflow website we can’t wait to see how this helps connect to your customers and helps your business continue to grow.
